TI chip turns Cell Phones into DVD Quality Video Projectors !

Using its DLP chip, Texas Instruments transforms a cell phone into a DVD-quality video projector. Just wait a few more years and they will have a technology to allow multiple cell phones to stick together their projections to create HD video.

Projector in a PHONE

On the left is a standard DLP chip that you might find in a large-screen TV. On the right is a DLP for a projector phone. Although smaller, the chip can still project fairly large images. By putting these chips into phones, TI hopes to make watching video on phones more pleasing and, of course, sell more chips.
