Optoma came out with three new portable DLP projectors today. The EP716P and EP719P both weigh in at only 4.4 lbs and offer the same connectivity, two D-sub 15 pin, one Composite RCA, and one S-video plugs. The EP716P has a brightness of 2000 lumens and a SVGA resolution. The EP719P has a brightness of 2300 lumens and an XGA resolution.

It looks like 3M is testing the DLP waters again and is introducing a new portable and a new large venue DLP projector. While 3M has used LCD technology for the majority of their projectors in the past, these two new projectors show that 3M is realizing the benefits that both LCD and DLP technologies have to offer.

The latest Toshiba TDP-FF1AU super-portable DLP projector does not really fit the palm of one’s hand, but its dimensions are similar to those of the Apple mini computer. So, the device can become presenter’s best friend if its real-world characteristics will not fall short to specs featured in the press release.

Toshiba came through with a surprise today with their releasing of a new inexpensive Large Venue projector. The TDP-TW350U DLP projector offers all sorts of features ranging from 802.11g wireless connectivity, BNC and DVI-I video inputs.
