Recently, Mitsubishi has announced the release of two new projectors, the WD510U and WD500U-ST. These projectors are almost identical, featuring WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio and the new DDP 2230 DMD DLP chip.

Konica Minolta have developed a projector that is apparently about the size of a thumb. Rather than using lenses and bulbs, the projector relies on lasers and vibrating mirrors to create an image up to 20-inches in size at XGA resolution. Overall, the device measures just 1.6 x 0.79 x 0.3 inches. Maximum image size is reached from just 21 inches away.
